Mumbai (India), Apr 30 (Canadian-Media): 67-year old Rishi Kapoor, Bollywood's renowned actor died Apr 30 in a hospital in Mumbai after a two-year battle with cancer, media reports said.

His death was a severe blow to the Indian movie industry and film lovers, who were already morning the demise of 53- year old Irrfan Khan on Wednesday, who also died of cancer.
Diagnosed with leukemia in 2018, Kapoor underwent a a year-long course of treatment in New York and returned to India last September.
He was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning after he complained of breathing difficulties, and it was confirmed by Kapoor's family that his life had ended peacefully.
Rishi Kapoor started his film career when he was a teenager
Rishi Kapoor, debuted as a child actor in 1970 in his father Raj Kapoor's film, Mera Naam Joker.
This was followed by his entrance in the film career as a teenager in 1973 with his first lead role as a teenage love story in the film Bobby, opposite Dimple Kapadia.
After making a successful on-screen pair with actress Neetu Singh, in one of Bollywood's most enduring love stories which ended in their marriage in 1980.
Their son, Ranbir Kapoor, is a successful Bollywood star in his own right.
Kapoor's family also requested his fans and friends to follow restrictions and respect the laws that are in force around gathering in public because of the lockdown over coronavirus.
Kapoor himself was also prolific on Twitter and his last tweet was an appeal to people that "we have to win this war together."
Meanwhile, pouring of tributes for Kapoor from his fellow Bollywood actors and politicians on social media continued.
Amitabh Bachchan who worked in several hit films with Kapoor tweeted: "He's GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !"
India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi described him as "multifaceted, endearing and lively" and "a powerhouse of talent".
"I will always recall our interactions, even on social media. He was passionate about films and India's progress. Anguished by his demise," he tweeted.

Mumbai (India), Apr 29 (Canadian-Media): After battling with tumour for several months, 53-year old Irrfan Khan, renowned Indian actor, breathed his last at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he was being treated for a colon infection, media reports said.

Khan, survived by his wife Sutapa Devendra Sikdar and two children. was surrounded by his family for whom he cared the most when he breathed his last.
Just four days ago on Satuday Khan had lost his 95-year-old mother in Jaipur.
Due to coronavirus lockdown, Khan had paid his his last respects to his late mother through a video conferencing session.
Khan had been the limelight of the international projects including The Warrior, The Namesake, the Academy Award-winning Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, Jurassic World.
Recipient of numerous awards, Khan had received the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, in 2011.
Amitabh Bachchan, acting legend, mourned Khan's death on Twitter saying, " just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan."
