Environment Canada issues special weather statement for Toronto, GTA ahead of snow Thursday11/6/2019 #EnvironmentCanada; #AheadOfPossibleSnowfall Toronto, Nov 6 (Canadian-Media): A special weather statement for the city of Toronto and most of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) issued by Environment Canada ahead of possible snowfall that could impact Thursday's morning commute, media reports said. Environment Canada/Facebook "A developing low pressure system is expected to bring a messy mix of precipitation tonight into Thursday morning," the weather agency said in a statement on Wednesday. Environment Canada said that a mix of rain and snow on Wednesday evening would turn to light snow overnight and according to the forecast he city could see up to two centimetres of snow. A special weather statement has also been issued for the cities of Mississauga, Brampton, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham Barrie is expected to get up to 30 cm of snow by Friday morning. All the motorists have been advised by the weather agency drive cautiously due to icy or slippery roads in the morning. Thursday will be mainly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of flurries with the high of 3 C, and the low will be minus 4 C.
