Moscow, Feb 16 (Canadian-Media): Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other Afghan delegates had been assured by US officials that after an agreement on the reduction of violence with the Taliban movement was signed, Washington will not abandon Afghanistan and will use lethal force if the deal is violated, media reports said.

Prior to reaching a peace agreement between Washington and Taliban, it was agreed between both parties to reduce violence for a week in what could become the first step.
Upon Afghan representatives' desire to have a deeper understanding of the workings of the US-Taliban agreement to reduce violence, U.S. guaranteed Ghani that if Taliban violates the term of the deal, US will have enough lethal power to destroy them.
A peace deal between the Taliban and the United States is under negotiation which would ensure the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan in exchange for the movement's guarantee that the country will not harbor terrorists.
