Washington, Aug 14 (Canadian-Media): The 19th annual 2019 Library of Congress National Book Festival, also called the Parade of States, would be held on Saturday, Aug. 31 on the lower level of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C., Library of Congress (LoC) reports said.
The National Book Festival will showcase the literary heritage of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Territories.

Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the chief sponsor of this Book Festival will demonstrate how libraries are reaching out to include all people from their communities. Information about different programs it funds in libraries across the nation, as well as the important role of state libraries is also provided by IMLS.
Every year, the affiliated Centers for the Book choose a book to represent the literary heritage of their state or territory to encourage festival attendees to read books that connect to their own state as well as other states.
