World Theatre Day promotes arts from across the world

Toronto, Mar 27 (Canadian-Media): World Theatre Day has been celebrated on 27th March each year since 1962  by International Theatre Institute (ITI) Centres, ITI Cooperating Members, theatre professionals, theatre organizations, theatre universities and theatre lovers all over the world, media reports said.

International Theatre Institute (ITI) celebrates the 70th Anniversary of the World Theatre Day 2018, 27th March.

​The goals of World Theatre Day are: promotion of the art form across the world, to create awareness among of the value of the art form, to encourage dance and theatre communities to promote their work on a broad scale and to to enjoy the art form for its own sake.

​William Shakespeare, was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He had tweeted as follows
