Wuhan, Feb 4 (Canadian-Media): A new 1,000-bed Huoshenshan (means God of Fire Mountain) temporary field hospital in Wuhan, China for the treating coronavirus, built in just 10 days by 7,000-member crew of carpenters, plumbers, electricians and other specialists around the clock, had accepted its new patient at 10 a.m. Monday, media reports said.

A second 1,500-bed facility Leishenshan, meaning God of Thunder Mountain, is due to open this.
It is for the second time Chinese leaders have responded to a new disease by building specialized hospitals almost overnight, the first time it was built in Beijing in 2013 to treat the patients of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) was constructed in a week.
1,400 doctors, nurses and other personnel to staff the Wuhan hospital were sent by the ruling Communist Party’s military wing, the People’s Liberation Army.
With about half of the two-story, 60,000-square meter building as isolation wards, and 30 intensive care units.
A video system, installed in less than 12 hours by a 20-member “commando team” from Wuhan Telecom Ltd., that links to Beijing’s PLA General Hospital facilitates doctors talk with outside experts.
