Washington, Oct 20 (Canadian-Media): US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday condemned the loss of lives in the blasts that rocked a mosque in Nangarhar area of Afghanistan that left 69 people killed. Places of worship should be sanctuaries, not targets for terrorist attacks. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families. " The explosion occurred during Friday prayers. Earlier media reports claimed that 62 people were killed in the incident. No terror group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
