Washington, Feb 7 (Canadian-Media): The unceremonious removal of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a key witness in the impeachment charges against U.S. President Donald Trump, from his job came just two days after Trump was acquitted of both his impeachment charges, and hours after Trump told reporters he was "not happy" with Vindman, media reports said.

"The truth has cost LTC Alexander Vindman his job, his career, and his privacy," said David Pressman, one of Vindman's lawyers who said that his removal was clear political retribution for his role in the impeachment inquiry.
Vindman, a National Security Council officer was on active duty, and a top adviser responsible for Ukraine.
Vindman had testified publicly that he considered Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy improper.
