Ottawa, Oct 12 (Canadian-Media): The trend of Canada's employment gains continues with 53,700 jobs added in September, Statistics Canada reported.
But as the job growth far outpaces the underlying economy, some economists worry that amid uncertainties about trade deals and the global economy, the increase of staff by companies may actually hider needed capital investments.
But a discrepancy in provinces' job growth exists. In September, while employment increased in Ontario and Nova Scotia. employment in all other provinces remained almost unchanged. But Newfoundland & Labrador, Alberta and Manitoba showed signs of employment decline.
