Winnipeg (Manitoba), Jan 21: Canadian-Media): A closing news conference would be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET in Winnipeg by Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to wrap up a three-day retreat (closed-door meetings) where a legislative checklist was mapped for the minority government by his cabinet ministers, media reports said.

The state of the economy, the fight against climate change, and pressing global affairs were topics discussed during the meeting, with NAFTA 2.0, new legislation on medical assistance in dying (MAID) at the top of that list.
New gun control measures were another priority for the session, said Public Safety Minister Bill Blair.
A request from Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Dwight Ball to assist in snow clearing operations after a massive blizzard was responded by Trudeau minority government by deploying about 300 troops to the area.
Trudeau said that more meetings with his Liberal caucus would be held in Ottawa.
