Ottawa/Canadian-Media: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has won enough seats in this 44th general election to form another minority government, with the composition of the House of Commons after its dissolution in early August not very different, with liberal candidates leading in 157 ridings as of 2:30 a.m. ET.

Although the launching of the campaign had a sizeable lead in the polls, his support declined days later as many voters had been annoyed at his decision to call an election during this health crisis.
But it was decided in the end by the voters that the Liberal team should continue to govern a country that, while battered and bruised by a health crisis, has also fared well on key pandemic metrics like death rates and vaccine coverage.
