Toronto, Dec 5 (Canadian-Media): Former Maple Leaf Nazem Kadri, who played 10 years in Toronto with the Maple Leafs before being traded to Colorado (United States) during this summer, received a standing ovation Wednesday on his return to Toronto, media reports said.
"I came close to shedding a tear," Kadri said. "I’m forever thankful for the fans embracing me and treating me so well."
Frederik Andersen, a Danish professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League, now alone in fourth in NHL scoring with 44 points while the Colorado centre has goals in five straight games, and 12 points over that span.
Toronto responded just 1:50 later.
Overall, it’s hard to say which team was the winner. Both the teams got players that significantly helped their teams out.
Usually, the winner of the trade is the team that got the best player, so in this case, that means we should acknowledge Avalanche in this deal for bringing in Kadri.
