#CanadianTireParaHockeyCupinParadise St. John's (Newfoundland & Labrador), Nov 2 (Canadian-Media): After competing in the summer and winter Paralympics, Liam Hickey, 21-year-old Paralympian was invited to join a partnership with the RBC Olympians program for to prepare for the 2022 Winter Paralympics, media reports said.

Hickey is the only athlete from St. John's and among 55 of the top athletes in the country to be invited by the RBC Olympians program, which provides both financial support as well as career assistance to athletes preparing for the Olympics and Paralympics.
After competing internationally for Canada in wheelchair basketball, Hickey's main focus right now is on hockey. He is preparing for one of the biggest tournaments of his life coming up in December with the Canadian Tire Para Hockey Cup in Paradise.
"I have not been able to play in front of many family and friends at all really, so it's extremely exciting. I try not to think a lot about it because it makes it so nervous and excited but it's going to be incredible. It's going to be one of the best moments of my life," said Hickey.
